Buy a Classic Chevy
- Consider a 1955-1957 Bel Air for the classic '50s Chevy. These cars are gorgeous, solid and will hold their value. The convertibles are especially sought-after.
- Look for an Impala. Everyone has their favorite year: the 1959 with its dramatic fins or the 1964 Impala SS with its great tailights. It's hard to go wrong.
- Consider a Chevelle Malibu, introduced in 1964. Again, it's hard to recommend a specific year. The SS models are especially sought-after.
- Find a Corvair. Ralph Nader didn't like these cars much, but they have a big following with people who like the midengine, aluminum engine and nice styling. And they are still reasonably priced. These cars were built from 1960 to 1969.
